The role and responsibilities

  • Implement user stories in software while effectively applying technology, tools and conventions as defined within the team
  • Participate in establishing conventions for robust development practices such as testing, deployment and security
  • Thoughtful application of established security and testing practices ensure high-level robustness of our systems
  • Produce well-documented systems that can be supported well into the future
  • Effectively communicate implementation risks and trade-offs

Your experience/qualifications

  • Experienced in building RESTful applications in Python utilizing microservice frameworks such as FastAPI/Flask/Pyramid
  • Experience working with Relational databases; data modeling, migrations, and optimizations
  • Dedicated to producing quality, testable code with accommodation for CI/CD
  • Good understanding and experience with writing and maintaining cloud-enabled applications and infrastructure automation via terraform or similar
  • Exposure to data processing such as ETL
  • 2+ years of professional experience / CS or similar degree

 

Nice to have

  • Experience in Energy or Sustainability industry
  • Experience in SaaS startups

Location: remote (US and Canada) with optional office in Boulder, Colorado

Position: Full-time

Base Salary: $100,000 - $125,000 plus bonus
