Development Associate or Manager

At Capture6 we are developing rapidly scalable carbon removal and decarbonization solutions and creating environmental benefits to accelerate the transition to a decarbonized global economy.  We are seeking a new team member to join our development team where we are building and managing a pipeline of carbon removal and decarbonization projects around the world.  This person will play a key role in our implementation and commercialization strategies.
What You Will Do

• Identify, develop, and manage existing and new business development and project development opportunities by working closely with the wider team
• Manage end-to-end aspects of business and project development, including research, proposal development, negotiations, budgeting, fundraising, project management, and procurement
• Manage internal and external relationships with relevant stakeholders including site owners, industrial partners, vendors, investors, consultants, regulatory authorities, and civil society organizations
• Run financial models to test different project scenarios
• Manage and mitigate risks through identification and prevention of potential issues before they materialize
• Pro-active problem solving to overcome challenges throughout the project development process

What You Will Bring

• Experience in business development and / or project development in carbon management, infrastructure, or energy-related or similar fields
• Understanding of project finance and financial modeling
• Proven track record of delivering complex projects across cross-functional teams with multiple external stakeholders
• Ability to communicate complex technical and business information to multiple audiences
• Ability to navigate ambiguity in fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
• Creative and open-minded approach to problem solving
• Self-motivated and flexible with an interest and ability to work across multiple time zones
• Passionate about tackling the climate crisis
• Candidates located in the US or UK will be considered, subject to work authorization requirement

The salary range presented for this full-time role is $60,000 – $150,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, years of experience, and location. The range represents the minimum and maximum potential salaries for new hires in this particular position. Within this range, individual pay is determined by several factors, including job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Please note that the compensation details for this role reflect the cash compensation only and do not include equity or other benefits.
