Tax Manager (80-100%)

• Your mission at Climeworks is to plan and implement our group tax strategy as part of Climeworks’ international expansion.
• You develop the existing and future tax set-up, including existing intercompany frameworks, in accordance with international tax developments.
• Together with the CFO and General Counsel, you continuously assess tax risks and inform the executive team or any material changes in the risk landscape.
• You ensure tax compliance through overseeing the preparation and reviewing direct and indirect tax returns and ensuring timely and accurate registrations and submissions in all relevant jurisdictions.
• You work closely with the accounting and procurement teams to ensure that the tax strategy is well understood and implemented in the ERP and all core processes.
• You produce tax documentation (including transfer price documentation) relevant for Climeworks and coordinate with tax advisors and authorities.

• You are a self-starter that appreciates flat hierarchies and the opportunity to shape the international expansion of Climeworks.
• You are looking to challenge yourself in a high growth environment and learn about an emerging industry dedicated to fight global warming.
• You have the ability to assess risks in a complex global tax environment and the ability to devise pragmatic and workable solutions to address them.
• You have at least eight years’ experience in an international corporate environment.
• You hold a university-level degree in accounting or tax. Professional qualifications (e.g. Certified Tax Expert) are a clear advantage.
• You are comfortable to work in an international environment with daily interactions in English; German and any other language is considered a plus.
