Welcome to Battolyser Systems, a fast-growing cleantech scale-up company based in The Netherlands. We develop and manufacture products that can store electricity and produce hydrogen from renewable power to balance societal demand in a truly revolutionary way. First, some background information on Battolyser Systems. Eight years ago, some really smart people at the Delft University of Technology invented the world’s first integrated battery- and electrolyser system. They named it a ‘Battolyser’ and realized this invention could connect renewable power generation in a revolutionary way with how society will consume energy in a net zero emission world. To make real impact, the technology was spun-out of the Delft University of Technology into a company in 2019 to demonstrate a proof of concept in an industrial setting. And so, Battolyser Systems was born.

Fast forward to today. We have a patented and proven technology, we are commercializing our products and made our first sales. We are starting up our first factory and are planning the fully automated mass manufacturing version to be ready in 2024. Present day we have attracted 50 people and anticipate to double this next year. In growing the company we are looking to recruit a Marketing and Communications Associate to help deliver Always Clean Energy to the world.

About the role:

The role is great for a marketing generalist who thrives on supporting a variety of projects from organising events to managing our website and corporate LinkedIn page and assisting with content and digital marketing. Your role will involve:

• a mixture of marketing and communication;
• managing and delivering marketing and communications projects;
• hands-on event support and organisation, including arranging booths and promotion materials;
• content creation and distribution support, from website and LinkedIn updates to online advertising and creating and editing marketing materials as brochures, presentations and animations;
• CRM and analytics support, from measuring performance for website and marketing campaings to deepening relationships with (potential) customers;
• acting as a brand guardian, ensuring that all materials comply with the brand guidelines;
• close collaboration with the CCO and the Sales & Marketing Manager.

Who are you:

You have:

• a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Communication (or similar through experience)
• 2-5 years of experience in marketing and communications in clean-tech or manufacturing industry
• Experience with marketing automation tools and social media platforms 
• Passion for clean-tech and sustainability
  

Furthermore, you are fluent in English, an additional language such as Dutch or German would be an advantage. You are ambitious, organized and energetic. You are tech-savvy and not afraid to pick up new technologies and work with it. You thrive on working in a fast-paced, dynamic, international and high-growth environment. To be succesful in this role, you need to be a hands-on self-starter with an infectious entrepreneurial spirit. And lastly, our ideal candidate is purpose driven, a quick learner, and able to take initiative.
