Job Description

META is seeking a part-time Office Manager for our UK facility in London, working primarily in-person, with some remote flexibility.

 

What You’ll Do:  

 

Your role will be to develop, implement and evaluate procedures with team members to ensure the team members operate efficiently. 

 

Some of the typical responsibilities will include:  

  • Ensure the smooth running of the day-to-day finance systems (purchase orders, invoices, expenses, etc.) and make recommendations on efficiency improvements where appropriate
  • Maintain an effective office environment providing administrative support to all members of the team, including travel bookings and meeting arrangements
  • Interface with HQ, providing support and a point of contact for admin functions, and ensuring company policies are uniformly adapted in the UK locations 
  • Manage facilities and service contracts for the London office
  • Occasionally undertake some basic project administration (non-technical) to ensure the efficient running of external grant funded project and the site's patent portfolio
  • Schedule meetings and appointments  
  • Partner with HR to update and maintain office policies 
  • Provide general support to visitors 
  • Assist in the onboarding process for new hires 
  • Liaise with facility management vendors, including cleaning, catering and security services 

 

Minimum qualifications:  

  • Post-secondary education
  • 2years' experience in office administration
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. Enthusiastic and flexible. Good MS Office skills are essential

 

Preferred qualifications:  

  • Management related Diploma or Degree
  • 2years'+ experience in a start-up environment
  • 1y+ experience with a project management software like Asana, Trello or similar
  • Excellent IT knowledge
