As part of the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Data Science team, the LCA Analyst will serve as in-house technical expert for the delivery of consulting work addressing innovative approaches in environmental markets and reporting frameworks. In this role you will help to help clients to achieve their sustainability goals by modelling environmental impacts and improvements of their products or operations. This includes contributing to development of tools and specifications for sustainability reporting, researching innovative approaches to measuring environmental impact and conducting analyses to support clients in reducing their environmental footprint.


Your key tasks:

  • Conduct a variety of life cycle analyses to support the delivery of client sustainability solutions, e.g. corporate and/or product environmental foot printing. 
  • Prepare clear and compelling reports, presentations of analyses, and recommendations for clients. 
  • Contribute to the development of specifications for the design and prototyping of an LCA toolset applied to customized client sustainability reporting solutions.

You have these claims to fame:

  • Experience in LCA modelling relevant to climate change impacts and benefits within corporate value chains.  
  • Familiarity with LCA databases (e.g. Ecoinvent, etc.) and LCA standards & guidelines (e.g. ISO 14040/44). 
  • Master’s degree in environmental science or similar discipline, with a specialization in LCA. 
  • You feel passionate about sustainability & want to make an impact to halt the climate crisis. 

Bonus points for:

  • Programming experience in Python or R. 
  • Experience with Brightway2. 
  • Experience in the food & beverage, textile and/or transport sectors. 
  • Familiarity with environmental science- and climate change reporting frameworks (GHG Protocol, SBTi, etc.), as this will speed up your onboarding.
