Senior Finance Business Partner - Product & Engineering

Volta Trucks, a hypergrowth European Electric Truck Manufacturer, is looking for a Senior Finance Business Partner – Product & Engineering to join our Finance department. The role is flexible with a mix of remote working, travel to our UK office in Reading and occasional travel to other Volta Truck sites.

This is a unique opportunity to join an ambitious scale-up where you will have the opportunity to play a lead role in supporting the delivery of exciting and innovative EV products within the commercial sector. This opportunity offers the chance to lead a small team of Finance Business Partners and continue to grow, learn and progress long term as Volta Trucks continues to scale and evolve.

What you will do:

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the role will play a key role in supporting our Product & Engineering functions to deliver current and future products. The role is also vital to deliver transparent program financials and R&D spend that provides genuine insights on engineering performance and investment efficiencies.

• Lead the product & engineering Finance Business Partner team in providing financial and commercial advice & guidance.
• Own product financial reporting, linking cross-functional inputs into coherent dashboards and metrics that support status review, risks and opportunities.
• Lead all R&D cost control and planning, identifying key drivers and levers that help optimise resources.
• Support all future product roadmap planning whilst conducting business cases and scenario analysis.
• Drive robust financial assessments in change management, taking a whole company view to achieve the best outcomes.

We would like you to have:

• Qualified accountant or extensive finance management/partnering experience.
• Previous experience supporting engineering, product design and development functions.
• Experience within automotive industry and manufacturing is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrable experience of providing financial and team leadership within a fast-paced and fluid environment
