This role will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies to promote our renewable energy solutions, driving brand awareness, and expanding our customer base. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of clean energy adoption.

Job Responsibilities 

• Lead marketing projects to support enhancing Ascend’s brand and overall marketing activities.
• Proactively identify and implement solutions for marketing needs across business functions.
• Collaborate with leadership to implement best practices and procedures.
• Master marketing technology and content improvement
• Provide ongoing support for leadership, teams and special projects.

Required Qualifications  

• Bachelor's degree in liberal arts, communications, marketing, business administration, physical or environmental science.
• 3+ years of experience in marketing or energy related field.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex and technical ideas in a clear and concise manner.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build relationships.
• Excellent decision making and business acumen.

Preferred Qualifications 

• Masters or MBA
• Experience in the energy industry, alternative energy, environmental, wholesale energy markets or with a software-focused enterprise.
• Demonstrated experience driving process improvement activities independently.
• Experience supporting and driving operations activities at a fast-growing company.
• Technology systems related marketing experience, with a focus on email marketing, social media, event planning and website management.
• Strong interest in learning other facets of marketing – such as media, public relations, campaign execution and brand strategy.
• Ability to work in Boulder office three days per week minimum.

Compensation: $80,000 - $125,000             

Negotiable based on qualifications and experience. Ascend highly values our employees and often pays above industry average.
