About the role
You will be responsible for project planning and scheduling, cost estimating and monitoring, progress measurement, risk management and reporting, and establishing policies to mitigate risk. You will provide support and consultation to project managers and executive project delivery team. You will utilize your experience with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures in planning and accomplishing goals. 


What you will do

  • Using excellent analytical skills, review all project controls information and ensure accuracy as well as identify issues, concerns, and potential mitigations.
  • Develop consistent and effective cost management and planning procedures for the Company.
  • Liaise and coordinate with Finance, Legal, Procurement and other departments to ensure project activities execution in accordance with Project Control and Planning Procedures and comply to Company Business Management System practices.
  • Perform project cost control management.
  • Prepare and monitor overall project budget, project cost budget, monitors expenditure actual vs forecast evolution including verification of progress claims by Contractors/Vendors.
  • Prepare overall Project Structures Breakdowns including Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Organization Breakdown Structure (OBS) and Cost Breakdown Structures (CBS).
  • Manage timesheet allocation, administration, and reporting.
  • Provide timely and accurate project controls reporting and communication to executive project delivery team for all (EPC) projects. 
  • Manage quantity take-offs to support earned value and material purchasing. Coordinate with the project team to ensure that the take-offs are done in accordance with the construction means and methods. Provide visibility to changes in quantities from estimate through project completion and be able to communicate how those changes impact construction, engineering, procurement, and commissioning.
  • Oversee the creation and updates to an integrated EPC schedule in Primavera P6. Work with the scheduler to load resources, maintain labor hour forecasts, and report schedule variances per established boundaries. Prepare, review, and update weekly/monthly progress reporting that includes earned value schedule progress, schedule forecasting, and executive management summaries.
  • Perform and lead the risk assessment including regular reporting on risk status and action tracking. Risk assessment includes but is not limited to Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA), Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA) and Cost Risk Analysis (CRA).
  • Manage project controls data and apply quality control measures to ensure data integrity.
  • Ensure the project is compliant with district project controls standards.
  • Effectively communicate in a geographically dispersed, matrix organization.

What a qualified candidate should possess

  • 10+ years of experience as Project Controls Manager in an energy company (self-performed and/or subcontracted construction) or a renewable industry.
  • Proven track record in EPC LS TK projects (Engineering. Procurement, Construction Lump Sum Turn Key contracts)
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in P6 is a must.
  • Experience in public companies is a plus.
  • Comfort in fast-paced, rapid growth environments.
