Job Description

Post Script Media is currently expanding into news, industry research, and conferences, leveraging our experience building Greentech Media from 2007 through its acquisition in 2016 by Verisk, and are looking for a talented Senior Analyst to join our team.

 

Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Industry Analyst to conduct primary research on AI and digital use cases in climate and energy tech, and perform economic analysis of various use cases for AI in the markets of clean energy, electricity grid modernization, advanced mobility, and carbon markets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in market analysis within the energy, climate, or related technology fields, and be skilled in both qualitative and quantitative analysis. They should also be a confident writer and public speaker.

This is a great opportunity to help develop a research practice, lead a team of analysts in a dynamic environment, and build a personal brand as a public speaker and writer. Analysts within our firm are given extraordinary opportunity to help shape the practice, work directly with the most important industry participants, and have a real impact on the adoption of technologies and solutions in the climate-tech market.

 

Critical aspects of the role include:

 

  • Conduct primary research on AI use cases in climate and energy tech, including but not limited to clean energy, electricity grid modernization, advanced mobility, and electric vehicles.
  • Perform economic analysis of various AI use cases in the aforementioned markets.
  • Produce high-quality written reports and presentations, clearly communicating research findings to various audiences.
  • Present research findings at conferences, webinars, and other public speaking events.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments.
  • Contribute to the production of podcasts, news articles, and other content related to AI and climate tech solutions.

 

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of experience performing market analysis in the energy, climate, or other related technology fields.
  • Proven skills in both qualitative and quantitative analysis of markets.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to confidently present research findings to diverse audiences.
  • Experience with public speaking and presenting at conferences or similar events.
  • Knowledge of the artificial intelligence and climate tech industry landscape.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., economics, engineering, environmental science, computer science); Master's degree preferred.
