Job Description

Electric Hydrogen’s mission is to make molecules to decarbonize our world! Our outstanding people are our most important asset and will allow us to deliver hydrogen from renewable electrolysis for heavy industry, at prices below fossil fuels. 

We are looking for a Senior Facilities Technician to support the operations of our facility in San Jose, CA. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you will provide support to technical and office staff while working with management to maintain the facilities. You will also be the contact for external contractors (electricians, plumbers, HVAC, etc.).

You will be based onsite, and support our site in San Jose, CA, with occasional trips to other facilities. You will share the on-call rotation for Facility Emergencies and there could potentially be the occasional evening, weekend or holiday hours.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure manufacturing equipment installation requirements are present before installation (MEP, HVAC, lighting, and controls)/Coordinate with necessary vendors
  • Manage preventive maintenance for buildings and equipment
  • Establish new lab/shop/test capabilities (e.g., power, water, and gas handling services)
  • Perform root cause evaluation for underperforming critical systems and failed critical components. Track and prioritize resolutions
  • Work with project teams to ensure newly installed assets are captured in our CMMS
  • CMMS planned/unplanned work order management
  • Participate as a member of the Safety Committee while supporting the ongoing development of our environmental health and safety (EHS) efforts
  • Procure materials specific to the job
  • Climb ladders for maintenance/assembly needs
  • Support shipping and receiving where needed

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years experience in facilities maintenance
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards and Industry Codes (CAL-OSHA, EPA, DEP, ADA) and other environmental regulations
  • Knowledge of building systems (MEP, HVAC, lighting, controls) and codes
  • Required to be onsite daily at our San Jose facility at least 8 hours per day with occasional night, weekend and holiday hours
  • CMMS experience (Maximo, 360)
  • Valid CA drivers' license
  • Safely lift up to 50lbs and use a hand truck, dolly or forklift
  • Forklift license/certification

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

San Carlos Zone
$22$52.25 USD

Actual base salary offered to the hired applicant will be determined based on their work location, level, qualifications, job-related skills, as well as relevant education or training and experience.​
