Hardware Engineer (Battery Electrical Engineering)

What you’ll be doing:

• Developing next generation hardware products at a strongly backed, growing company with a powerful vision of the future that we can build together.

• Leading battery systems development for the company.

• Providing mentorship and guidance for junior employees.

• Working closely with the whole team during product definition and development.

• Building first-in-class prototypes. 

• Bringing up production-intent devices.

• Shepherding volume manufacturing for a new product category.

Who you are:

• Able to cross technology domains to produce clever solutions that scale.

• Experience in shipping hardware for both first prototypes and volume production, particularly in consumer, energy, or automotive domains.

• Experienced in working with top firms that manufacture battery cells and modules, particularly for automotive or stationary storage applications.

• Excited to provide mentorship and technical leadership.

• Excited about being able to operate with substantial freedom.

What you have:

• Engineering degree and experience in volume hardware.

• Strong knowledge of battery cell chemistries and pack development constraints. 

• Track record of delivering safe and reliable products on time.

• Experience with compliance and certifications for electronics and/or energy storage.

• History of successful engagements with external design and manufacturing partners.

Base salary
$150,000/yr - $200,000/yr
Exact compensation may vary based on skills and experience.
