Haven guides homeowners through the selection, quoting, financing and scheduling of a home battery system install, and we pair homeowners with vetted, qualified electricians to perform the installation. Summary of Role
Haven is looking for a Sales Manager to be the founding member of our sales team. As Haven’s first Sales Manager, you’ll work together with the team to build the sales playbook from scratch that you’ll continue to refine over time. Your input will shape the processes, tools, and approach to sales for the entire team going forward.
As a Sales Manager, you’ll be a trusted advisor to homeowners who are looking to add energy storage systems to their homes. By guiding customers through the selection, onboarding, installation, and optimization process, you will be at the forefront of advancing clean energy adoption by helping homeowners manage their energy in a more sustainable way.
We’re looking for self starters who care deeply about helping customers, listening empathetically and making an impact. Haven’s customer experience is our top priority so the perfect candidate is compassionate and thoughtful, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
What you’ll do
Guide potential customers through a seamless sales and onboarding process with a concierge-like experience
Become a subject matter expert in how distributed energy resources (DERs) and residential solar systems operate
Own the overall relationship with prospective customers from lead through install
Take a consultative approach in helping overcome issues
Collaborate with electricians and technical sales engineers to develop customer solutions and troubleshoot problems
Manage a pipeline of customers through a CRM, tracking progress and communication touchpoints
Work with the marketing and product team to provide feedback from customers in order for us to continually improve the experience for our customers
Communicate and manage documents and deliverables throughout the installation process, ensuring a timely and efficient process from contract signing through go-live
Identify common customer challenges and collaborate with the Product Team to develop solutions
Develop product support materials (e.g., how-to videos and documentation) to streamline knowledge transfer to customers
Qualifications
5+ year of solar sales experience
A passion about both the energy community and the people in it
Thrive in a fast paced, target focused environment constantly striving to ensure we’re providing the best customer service
Comfortable with numbers and learning new technology
Excellent communication and writing skills
Ability to clearly and concisely articulate technical matters to all customers
