Job Title: Regional Sales Manager 

Position type: Full Time 

Location: Remote

Travel: 40%

Job Description 

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for developing and implementing sales, marketing, territory expansion, and structural strategies for the Sales division. The position reports to the Vendor Sales Manager. across a group of territories. Their duties include visiting vendor partners, communicating sales performance and expectations, and assisting in the development of regional vendor teams.

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Achievement of sales, profit, and strategic objectives for regional sales teams.
  • Accountable for the on-time implementation of sales organization projects and performance objectives.
  • Monitoring of sales performance including quality-related issues and customer churn.
  • Responsible for the operation of the regional sales teams.
  • Accountable for accurate and on-time reporting essential for sales organization effectiveness.
  • Achievement of strategic objectives defined by company management.
  • Develop field sales action plans to facilitate the implementation of the regional sales programs.
  • Establish sales objectives by projecting expected sales volume and forecasting and developing sales quotas for territories and the region.
  • Assist in the training of new sales teams across regions.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with sales leadership to build annual and quarterly plans to identify and implement initiatives to achieve shared business objectives
  • Serve as the voice for new sales channel rate plans and offers from ideation to approvals to execution.
  • Work with sales teams to identify paths to problem solve, scale, and push results forward; determine ongoing enhancements.
  • Provide thought partnership, strategies and other relevant support as needed for sales, product launches, state launches and market consolidation deals.
  • Design clear operational processes and ensure effective documentation.
  • Manage, prioritize, and communicate status of IT requests and issue resolution for the sale teams
  • Ensures sales teams have correct pricing terms by utility for product
  • Partner with CleanChoice Sales Support team to facilitate delivery of new sales tools (playbooks, call scripts, presentations, target market lists, etc.) that will assist field agents to sell more effectively

 

Qualifications and Skills

  •  Minimum of 2 years of experience in Vendor Management
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience selling in retail electric and community solar markets
  • Experience with door to door vendors
  • Sales management experience with proven sales and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Dynamic interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to think strategically and quantitatively 

 

Travel

  • 40% of the time you will be traveling to new markets
