We are looking for an enthusiastic Finance Manager to join our innovative and ambitious organization.


About LeydenJar

LeydenJar is a high-tech company, developing pure silicone anodes for a lithium-ion battery that will change the world. We are proud that, here at LeydenJar, we:

  • boost Li-ion battery energy density by 70% by using 10x thinner anodes
  • improved cycle life to >450
  • achieved fast charging to 60% in under 10 min!

We are currently still in an R&D phase, but we are ready to start the actual production of anode foil. LeydenJar Plant One will open in 2026.


Your mission

As the right hand of the CFO, you are involved in various company-wide projects and no day is the same. You will play an important role in achieving our dreams and international ambitions. Are you excited to grow along with us?

You will be responsible for implementing the new ERP system, helping with designing and setting the finance processes for production. 



Some of your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

1. Planning & Control Cycle

• You are responsible for the organisation-wide planning & control cycle. Including the budget process, forecast and reports.

• You are responsible for Business Control and advise the management and the business

• Optimizes, designs and implements financial processes

2. Project, subsidy administration and control

• You are responsible for setting up a project and subsidy administration

• In collaboration with the administration, you ensure comprehensive accountability for the subsidies

3. Reporting & Auditing

• You are responsible for the monthly, quarterly and annual reports

• You are responsible for developing and setting up an ESG report

• You are (jointly) responsible for the Internal Control Framework

• You proactively identify risks and propose control measures and implement them

4. Advising on a strategic/tactical level

• You initiate and provide strategic financial policy advice

• You support the CFO with complex issues and the resulting implementation in the context of investments or ongoing projects, for example the construction of the new production location, but also the IPO process.

• You provide solicited and unsolicited advice to the CFO and management

5. Connecting cooperation with internal and external partners

• You initiate and maintain effective networks and collaborations both within and outside the organization

• You are the first point of contact for the business, the accountant, banks and tax authorities

Who are you?

For this role we are looking for an analytically strong, flexible candidate with good communication skills and a positive attitude.

• You have an academic working and thinking level

• It is important that you have a solid financial background, preferably in a Big4 environment.

• Experience in R&D, manufacturing and capital intensive environments is a big plus.

• Important competencies include: adaptability, responsibility, tenacity, initiative, innovative


What can you expect from us?

  • Your primary gross annual salary will be between 70,000 – 84,000 euro, based on your experience and education

  • You get 25 days of vacation per year (based on 40 hours working week) and the possibility to buy extra days; you get a laptop in use during the employment
