Junior Finance Business Partner - Product & Engineering

Volta Trucks, a hypergrowth European Electric Truck Manufacturer, is looking for a Junior Finance Business Partner – Product & Engineering to join our Finance department. The role is flexible with a mix of remote working and occasional travel to our office in Reading and London.

This is a unique opportunity to join an ambitious scale-up at a pivotal point, where you will have the opportunity to play a key role in supporting the delivery of exciting and innovative EV products and partner with our Product & Engineering function.

What you will do:

Reporting to the Finance Business Partner, you will partner and support our Product & Engineering functions to help deliver current and future products. You will play a key role in supporting the delivery of transparent program financials that provide effective insights on engineering performance and also provide accurate planning and analysis to enable clear decision making aligned to the business strategy.

• Strategically partner product teams and act as the key contact for selected areas 
• Take ownership and lead month end and forecasting activity for designated product teams
• Actively support budgetary control and maintain relevant trackers and requisition approvals
• Support pre-series production BOM cost tracking and reporting for selected areas of product and procurement
• Provide insightful financial advice & support to the product function ensuring robust budgets, forecasts and spend controls

We would like you to have:

• Studying towards CIMA, ACCA, ACA
• Sound financial analysis skills and experience
• Previous experience supporting/partnering with an engineering/product design and development business area

• Knowledge and experience within automotive manufacturing is highly desirable
