Logistics Engineer - Spare Parts

Volta Trucks, a hypergrowth European Electric Truck Manufacturer, is looking for a Spare Parts Manager to join our fast-growing Logistics and supply chain function. The role offers flexible working, and your time will be split between our new offices in Reading (1-2 days per week) and working remote.

What you will do:

Reporting to Spare Parts Manager you will be responsible for the development and planning activities in relation to spare parts logistics products and facilities in the supply chain. You will play a vital role in determining the most effective packaging, unit load, processes, and sequences of operations/workflow for the spare parts within Volta’s supply chain

• You will be working closely with the packaging team to develop packaging solutions and processes for spare parts.
• Build sustainable relationships with suppliers and provide effective management, ensuring delivery performance and escalating any suppliers when needed
• Ensure parts availability at central warehouses and provide recommendations for maximum utilization of supply chain 
• Responsible for executing and participating in the material planning process and backorder recovery

We would like you to have:

• Degree qualified or significant equivalent experience
• Experience in Supply Chain/Logistics related functions 
• Ability to develop and create new logistics processes
• Strong customer focused and service mindset with the ability to build sustainable and productive relationship both internally and externally
