NPI Coordinator, Oxford.

The Role

Due to YASA’s continued growth, we are looking for NPI Coordinator, to ensure parts are available at each stage of the build phase for our development of Axial Flux Electric Motors. The NPI Coordinator will lead project meetings and keep every member of the Supply Chain team informed of progress.


Key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring the NPI material requirements for YASA are ordered and expedited on time to tight timelines accounting for the impact on inventory value
  • Placing orders in line with system requirements ensuring the supplier's due date achieves the production due date, taking into account the impact on inventory value
  • Ensuring materials are expedited in a timely manner and the supplier achieves high due date delivery performance (>95%)
  • Ensuring the provision of relevant data to support supplier discussions or internal review
  • Supporting the management of materials for new project introductions
  • Maintaining stock and demand data with a view to optimising inventory
  • Helping to develop stock management systems and processes
  • Supporting and driving a change in behaviours for all leading and lagging processes for continuous process improvement
  • Visit suppliers to actively manage all order books and associated issues by creation and execution of action plans

 

Essential:

  • Previous proven experience within a similar role, ideally within an automotive environment
  • Understanding of MRP systems
  • Understanding of working for an IATF 16949 organisation
  • Previous experience in an automotive manufacturing and supply chain environment
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work effectively with teams
  • Good IT skills

  • Ability to speak German.
