Raise Green is a fintech company that offers a climate investment platform with thousands of membersinvesting from $100 up to $5 million into clean energy and climatetech companies.

 

We are building the largest and most inclusive climate investing community in the world. Our award-winning impact investing marketplace allows project developers and climate entrepreneurs to raise money for their company or non-profit through investment from anyone (retail, accredited, institutional).

 

Our inclusive finance model allows climate innovators to raise money through a community round of financing and pay back their investors over time, examples include: community solar, microgrids, electric vehicle infrastructure or fleet conversion, sustainable agriculture, energy efficiency, building electrification, storage and battery deployments or other climatetech companies.

ABOUT THE POSITION

 

This role is responsible for lead generation for climate and clean energy projects in need of financing, bringing new opportunities for investment to Raise Green’s Marketplace. Your primary responsibility is to help turn leads into qualified opportunities by partnering with Marketing to create and execute inbound and outbound lead generation campaigns. This position requires heavy outbound prospecting, qualification, consultative selling skills and tight collaboration.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Promote Raise Green through persistent calls, emails and communication(s) to prospective clients, channel partners or groups
Develop sales opportunities from prospecting and marketing qualified leads
Profile strategic accounts identifying key individuals and researching and engaging with target companies to prepare executive summaries for the team
Prospect leads aligned with Raise Green’s long-term strategy and initiatives
Analyze incoming dealflow and evaluate suitability in consultation with executives for potential to convert to a Sales Qualified Lead
Nurture leads by educating and developing prospects
Ensure successful tracking & follow through of the sales cycle by maintaining accurate activity and lead qualification information in Hubspot
Work cross-functionally with Projects, Marketing, and Investor Relations to maximize the success of incoming leads
Drive attendance for webinars and live seminars
Collaborate with marketing team members on strategic sales approach

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

• 1+ years of proven excellence in business development or sales preferred
Experience working in a regulatory environment and/or in a start-up is preferred
Experience using Hubspot
Quickly learn Raise Green’s product, effectively communicate the value proposition and be able to react to objections and competitive questions, developing the content library as you go
Fearlessness in the face of rejection - willing to hop on the phone with new people every single day and explain Raise Green’s value proposition as it relates to each individual you speak with
Flexibility - things change around here. FAST. We’re a startup!
Strong communication, organization, networking, and time management skills
Positive can-do attitude; driven, self-sufficient and proven ability to perform successfully given low oversight and limited process

 

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

 

Salary range dependent on experience: $45k-50k
• Commission structure up to negotiation based on experience
