Responsibilities
Ownership of several microbiological tasks, such as cultivation, transformation and verification of different microbial species, including bacteria and yeasts
Responsibility of PCR, designing and cloning constructs via different strategies, SDS-PAGE and Western blotting
Maintaining & ensuring sterile work with cultures of different microbial species in biosafety cabinets
Preparation of media, reagents and stock solutions
Detailed recording and documentation of all results in electronic lab notebook (ELN)
Successful qualification as BTA/MTA, experience in industrial laboratories would be a plus
Proven experience in the field of molecular microbiology, incl. standard molecular and microbial techniques
Experience in molecular biology of fungi would be advantageous
High motivation to learn new and advanced methods and to apply them independently
Very good knowledge of English
