Job Description

Summary

Due to continued growth, YASA is now looking for a Supply Chain Manager to manage the Supply Chain Function, ensuring Production Planning, Materials Planning and Logistics provide continuity to the YASA business and customers.

 

  • Responsible for site Supply Chain activities, Inventory and Operations Planning Strategy (SIOP)
  • Managing material planning and delivery activities, ensuring continuity of production and on time delivery (Internal & External)
  • Developing and maintaining the scheduling and forecasting activities, ensuring MPS and MRP functions are executed effectively.
  • Responsible for Inventory control, ensuring ERP system transactions are executed effectively and maintain inventory accuracy to expected levels.
  • Managing the Logistics Warehouse function, ensuring a safe working environment, efficient processing and production line delivery.
  • Responsible for movement of materials, goods and products (including Import & export)
  • Developing and utilise material traceability in the plant co-ordinating support functions to deliver and maintain the system
  • Managing the Supply Chain team to continually improve the processes and controls in place
  • Managing the Supply Chain team to deliver against business and functional KPI’s
  • Developing new and existing relationships with suppliers, stakeholders and customers
  • Managing and minimise risk, eliminating material impact in production


To succeed in this role, we believe you'll need:

  • Previous proven managerial experience in an operational Supply Chain Department (automotive experience essential).
  • Excellent ERP system knowledge, focusing on the MPS and MRP function.
  • A proven track record of managing a team within the Supply Chain/Logistics function.
  • Experience in customer and supplier management
  • Good commercial and financial acumen with a full understanding of the impact of failure in terms of business cost, production schedules and customer order fulfilment
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Effective problem-solving ability with a ‘can-do’ attitude
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to handle multiple projects
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Strong customer focus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
