Job Summary

The Commercial Project Developer will manage the development and acquisition of large rooftop and community solar and storage projects throughout the United States. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop, own and execute the project development strategy and tactics for C&I rooftop markets
  • Lead C&I development activities from site acquisition to construction  
  • Identify development prospects, including market assessments, fatal flaw identification and initial site reconnaissance  
  • Secure site control for development prospects, including negotiating leases, easements and other agreements with landowners  
  • Coordinate landowner communication efforts 
  • Take a lead role in obtaining certain local and/or state permits  
  • Represent Reactivate with customers, landowners, state and local officials and other stakeholders
  • Initiate and manage generation interconnection activities
  • Manage tasks according to budgets and schedules, including coordinating internal and external technical support

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college program, or equivalent work experience 
  • 4 to 8 years of experience in energy project development, with a strong preference for distributed/C&I solar and storage experience
  • Familiarity with solar project development, real estate development, transmission and power project engineering are advantageous 
  • Ability to synthesize complex risks and opportunities into succinct and actionable directions
  • Ability to manage the development and strategic process for solar energy projects  
  • Strong organizational, networking, leadership, time management, and accounting skills  
  • Strong public speaking and personal skills
  • Strong alignment with Reactivate's mission and impact goals
