About Rondo Energy

Rondo Energy's mission is to eliminate 15% of global CO2 emissions in 15 years.

To accomplish this mission, Rondo is deploying low-cost, zero-carbon Rondo Heat Batteries to accelerate the deployment of renewable energy and to significantly decarbonize industrial processes that are commonly thought of as "difficult-to-decarbonize". Our Heat Batteries charge from intermittent renewables to provide high temperature, continuous heat for customers safely, reliably, at an unprecedented 98% efficiency - and at a cost point that is lower than any other method.

We are looking for a New Product Introduction (NPI) buyer with at least 7 years of experience in NPI procurement in a high-paced environmentExperience in partnering with engineering and technology organizations to bring new products to market at high volume is a must.  Additionally, experience with large scale EPC Projects such as Power, Water, or Oil & Gas is a valuable plusThe ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of the principles of Procurement and Contracting and should be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the NPI process including experience in sourcing custom designed machined, stamped and extruded metal commodities. This role will be a key part of scaling the RHB (Rondo Heat Battery)!

What You Will Do (key responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to):

  • Responsible for placing purchase orders for Engineering projects
  • Lead negotiations on orders under $5k, including pricing, delivery and payment terms
  • Act as a liaison with vendors and Engineers
  • Responsible for timely purchasing and delivery of materials required
  • Interact closely with suppliers and QA to resolve quality issues
  • Solve problems with orders and resolve all receiving and invoicing discrepancies
  • Monitor the cost, schedule/delivery and scope of assigned purchase orders
  • Evaluate and compare total cost of procurement to ensure best value is obtained 
  • Contact vendors and suppliers for quotations and maintain relationships
  • Participate in ERP system implementation leveraging previous experience (SAP, Oracle etc.) 
  • Travel as required, including travel related to supplier sourcing and to maintain links with Rondo projects

 

What You Will Bring:

  • Critical thinking with attention to detail when selecting items 
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent. 
  • 7+ years procurement experience in a NPI related setting.  
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills. 
  • Driven and self-motivated. Must be able to work independently with minimal direction, take initiative, maintain relationships, and work effectively and collaboratively at all levels of the organization. 
  • Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

The estimated annual salary range for this position is $115,000 - $145,000 and it would be eligible for Rondo's excellent benefits listed above, plus additional compensation in the form of equity. Please note that some pay bands may have wide ranges of compensation to accommodate candidates' diverse sets of skill levels and experience.
