Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Volta Trucks, a hypergrowth European Electric Truck Manufacturer, is looking for a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our IT and Digital Solutions team. The role can be based anywhere in Portugal.

As our Cloud Infrastructure Engineer you will manage our Cloud Infrastructure environment in both AWS and Azure in order to enable the other teams in IT and Digital to carry out their work efficiently and effectively. Building up the Cloud environments from a blank canvas means that you can influence how it should be designed, managed and monitored

We would like you to:

• Assist in the design and implementation of Infrastructure services in the AWS and Azure environments
• Implement policies, baselines and best practices across the environment
• Create Cloud Infrastructure to support business requests
• Maintain all security and compliance
• Continually monitor and improve the Cloud Infrastructure to fit the business goals
• Provide 3rd/4th line support escalation

We would like you to have:

• Experience of designing and implementing Cloud Infrastructure in AWS alongside managing many of its components
• Experience with automation and Infrastructure as a Code
• Experience with Azure Cloud Infrastructure would be preferred
• A strong understanding and experience of security best practices, governance and how to implement and manage them
• AWS and/or Azure qualification(s). These aren't a must have but would certainly be a bonus. Please don't be put off from applying if you do not have a formal qualification.
