We use law, science, and the support of 3.1 million members and online activists to protect the planet's wildlife and wild places and to ensure the rights of all people to clean air, clean water, and healthy communities. NRDC was founded in 1970 and our people helped write some of America's bedrock environmental laws, including the Clean Water Act and many of the implementing regulations. Position Summary: 

 

The Talent Acquisition Strategy Specialist will report to the Director of Talent Acquisition and will support the Talent Acquisition function by becoming a cross-functional partner with stakeholders and team-members to drive process and strategy build while managing logistical, planning, coordination, reporting, and administrative duties. This person will work to ensure the smooth and effective management of the TA Team. They will help define and coordinate the team workflows, that include, but are not limited to- candidate experience, new-to-career/internship programming, talent marketing and team goal-setting and performance tracking, talent acquisition policy and process adherence.  

 

This position will work closely with the HR team and liaise with NRDC colleagues throughout the organization. 

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do: 

  • Support and work closely with the Director of Talent Acquisition and Talent Acquisition Team to provide insight on and support of daily activities, including the development of coordination policies and procedures, scheduling, candidate and hiring manager experience best practices, offer and on-boarding workflows, etc.  
  • Support the new-to-career, DEI and talent marketing initiatives by developing strategies and stakeholder alignment on talent acquisition activities 
  • Assist in management of LinkedIn, Glassdoor, Handshake, etc. accounts 
  • Provide analytical support which may include research, project or situation assessment, data gathering, and reporting. 
  • Assesses team capacity, evaluates recruiter workloads and partners with the talent acquisition team to align on position assignments and special projects 
  • Support the establishment of a common global talent attraction process which optimizes quality, customer-centricity, inclusion and equity 
  • Implement customer-centric recruiting processes where stakeholders “never wonder” about status, next steps, or what is expected of them 
  • Support the operational rhythm of the TA operation (multi-year modernization roadmap, team meetings, training, adoption & reinforcement of advancements, annual calendar, etc.)  
  • Help foster meaningful TA’s relationship with all adjacent corporate units, maximizing their impact on our quality and compliance (DE&I, Compliance, Benefits, Legal, HR Operations, Employee Engagement Groups, etc.) 
  • Talent Acquisition invoice management 
  • Travel required to attend regular meetings and occasional career events 
  • Performs other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

Who you are: 

  • Excellent organizational and follow up skills 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. 
  • BA/BS Degree or equivalent work experience 
  • At least 3 years’ experience in human resources, preferably experience as an HR Assistant or HR Coordinator 
  • General knowledge of HR principles, practices, and procedures, and a demonstrated ability to apply that knowledge 
  • Experience supporting or facilitating multiple projects a plus and multiple team members 
  • Must be highly detail-oriented and organized 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

We offer competitive salaries, excellent benefits, and a supportive working environment. Salary is based on a nonprofit scale and is commensurate with skills and experience. Internal equity will be reviewed and considered to determine a final offer. For this position, the salary range is $83,000 to $ 90,000.

 

Our offices are open and we are operating in a hybrid model. We offer NRDCers flexibility, and we ask them to come into the office and spend meaningful time there in collaboration with their colleagues. We call this purposeful presence.
