Role Description

We are looking for an experienced Supervisor to lead a shift of cell build technicians producing our full scale cell product for pilot manufacturing operations. In this role, you will work as part of our New Product Introduction team to oversee build technicians carrying out pilot activities to help our product and manufacturing processes mature. You will bring a people-first manufacturing mindset based on safety, quality, rate, and cost driven by excellence and creativity. This workstream will be responsible for laying a good foundation for other manufacturing factories to follow. This is an opportunity to apply your organization, mentorship, and hands-on training experience to enable a lean manufacturing environment and help Form Energy tackle climate change.

What you'll do:

• Manage a team of up to 20 technicians to ensure adequate resources are planned to meet program objectives

• Ensure performance of the team is within the established metrics; safety, rate, overtime, scrap, downtime, etc 

• Coordinate with our manufacturing engineering team to develop, train and mentor your team in line with the latest process advancements and technologies; automated assembly equipment, laser welding, heat staking, epoxy dispensing, etc

• Continuously improve existing materials preparation and production processes to support ramping throughput

• Facilitate shift start-up and continuous improvement initiatives by leading standard routine cross-functional team meetings 

• Recommend, as well as lead, in the installation and assembly of new equipment or tools 

• Be an advocate of Form’s culture and values; create a uniform employee experience across all shift schedules

What you'll bring:

• 5+ years working in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment; Pilot or R&D experience is a plus

• Strong sense of patience and safety in a fast paced people-first environment

• Comfort using both digital and paper based tools and ticketing systems

• Ability to see the big picture; manage opportunities that could impact your success.
