Lead Product Designer

We are a small climate tech startup on a big mission to drive citizen engagement in climate change adaptation. We’re looking for a Lead Product Designer to join us at a really important juncture, as we build the first-ever marketplace for climate outcomes. What powers the marketplace is an engaging consumer app that connects residents to local climate actions. This is an exciting and unique opportunity to design an innovative app that drives people’s real-world actions and reduces their climate anxiety, at a tipping point in public awareness and engagement in climate action.

Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for a Lead Product Designer to help our team deliver on our mission of enabling people around the world to take action in the face of climate change– through designing an app that’s fun to use. The ideal candidate has designed beautiful and engaging mobile apps for 5+ years, has worked at startups or other 0 to 1 environments, has a creative mind, and a track record of quickly iterating to achieve product-market fit. This role reports directly to the Head of Product. This is a full-stack product designer position that includes:

• Craft Exceptional User Experiences:  Set a high bar for usability, functionality, and visual appeal. Zoom in and out between a meticulous attention to detail and the broader vision for where we’re headed. 
• Visual Design:  Uplevel how our app looks & feels as a critical aspect of the overall experience and a key opportunity to differentiate ourselves from competitors. 
• Develop User-Centric Insights: Conduct user interviews, create user profiles, and precisely define problems. Actively apply this knowledge to guide your design efforts and share your thinking with the broader team.
• Apply Design Thinking:  Leverage your skills and training as a designer to push the boundaries of what's possible in design and product development and challenge the team to innovate and think outside the box.
• Execute Flawlessly: Consistently ship solutions that meet timing expectations, embracing rapid iterations as needed.  Develop clear and effective practices & processes with your product and engineering partners to ensure the team delivers quickly and efficiently. 

Salary

Dashboard Earth is currently only hiring folks based in the US.
Salary Range: $130,000-$150,000 USD/year
