Job Description

Join the Battery Team based in Bristol (Avonmouth) as an Battery Test Technician and help us to achieve our mission of pioneering electric aviation.What success will look like for you, as an Battery Test Technician? 

As an, Battery Test Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out the assembly of mechanical and electrical components to technical drawings or finding their own effective solutions to required tasks whilst still working to high quality standards. This will be a hands on role, where you will be performing electrical, mechanical and abuse testing on cells, modules and whole battery systems.

You will be working closely with external test facilities and suppliers where necessary to deliver high quality testing and test data. We work at pace, operate in high levels of ambiguity and embrace change always but also need to maintain a high standard of tool cleanliness and control throughout the workshop assembly areas.

You will be expected to ensure all appropriate paperwork or recording is completed and maintained (job cards, tech logs, tech library, ERP system entries… etc) supporting the continued development of our in-house expertise, specialist knowledge and capabilities. 

What would we like you to bring.

We want you to be successful in your role, in order to achieve this, you will need to have proven experience working with and around HV batteries and battery testing. Additionally, you will need good skills / knowledge of wiring, crimping, soldering, as well as good working knowledge of electrical schematics and technical assembly drawings. Ideally you will have gained this experience from either Aerospace/ Automotive or Industrial sectors.
