With operational projects exceeding 450MW and another 25GW in the project pipeline, our client is operating in a landscape requiring <strong>high-level legal eagles.</strong><br><br>Having practiced as an attorney for <strong>3+ years</strong><strong> in the renewable energy space</strong>, your <strong>experience negotiating land option and lease agreements</strong> throughout the project pipeline is second only to your <strong>stakeholder negotiation skills. Then follow our </em><a href="https://bit.ly/AltGenLi"><strong><em>LinkedIn page</em></strong></a><em> and subscribe to our </em><a href="http://eepurl.com/hENwn5"><strong><em>mailer</em></strong></a><strong><em>.</em></strong><br><br><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong><ul><li>Continuously review and update templated property agreements with the Head of Legal</li><li>Handle commercial and legal negotiations for land rights for renewable energy projects</li><li>Initiate, plan, execute, and control land option and lease agreements from site origination to financial close</li><li>Secure acquisition and lease agreements for land</li><li>Collaborate with land agents and other stakeholders</li><li>Coordinate with key business teams (Servitude Manager, Pipeline Manager, Site Originators, Developers)</li><li>Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, especially Landowners</li><li>Inform management about potential property-related risks and propose mitigation strategies</li><li>Review signed option agreements for accuracy and completeness</li><li>Manage and track all land rights agreements</li><li>Engage directly with landowners, stakeholders, and municipalities</li><li>Provide quarterly updates to landowners</li><li>Manage conveyancing process from the developer’s perspective</li><li>Liaise with external counsel for the registration of long-term notarial lease agreements</li><li>Manage and improve an internal management system for option agreements to track progress and due dates</li><li>Inform stakeholders of upcoming expiry or renewal dates</li><li>Identify areas for improvement in leases, option agreements, and related processes</li></ul>
