Position Summary

Antora is looking to hire a Director of Strategic Finance & Capital Markets with substantial (5-10+ years) experience in executing and managing corporate finance transactions, ideally including growth venture transactions. Experience in project finance for the renewable energy industry would be very helpful for this role. Initial leadership experience will have prepared you in building your team at Antora.

Depending on your experience, you will be co-leading all our corporate finance and potentially our project finance transactions. You will help us drive some of the world’s largest energy storage projects, in order to serve our mission to decarbonize some of the most carbon-intensive industries. 

As Antora is growing rapidly towards giga-scale, it will require you to lead the preparation, origination, valuation, modeling, structuring, and execution of these transactions. Beyond being a skilled and accomplished corporate finance professional, this role is for mission-first team players who embrace difficult challenges and see themselves as innovative and entrepreneurial problem solvers and builders.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for leading key corporate finance (and potentially project finance) transactions, including raising equity, debt, tax equity, and structured products.
  • Responsible for leading tax credit monetization and financing strategies, as well as solving associated working capital requirements as it relates to delivering major industrial decarbonization projects.
  • Manage all aspects of transaction execution in close collaboration with our CFO, including marketing, negotiation of term sheets, structuring, financial modeling, investor due diligence, transaction documentation, and internal project management.
  • Lead due diligence and manage our data rooms.
  • Develop and maintain valuable relationships with debt, tax equity, and equity investors as well as strategics.
  • Develop and work with complex corporate and project finance models. Able to build models independently and mentor others 
  • Work with Antora leadership to develop an innovative financing roadmap for Antora.
  • Organize and manage the process to obtain third-party reports to support finance work including but not limited to independent engineer reports, insurance reports and market studies.
  • Draft marketing materials for capital raising including teasers, investor presentations, and investment memoranda.
  • Present financing and transaction proposals. Strong understanding of financing across asset classes (VC, PE, and project finance).
  • Recruit and manage top analysts and associates to join Antora’s ambitious financing efforts
  • Be a culture role model for a finance team in formation

Key Qualifications

  • At least Bachelor's, preferably MBA degree in finance or related field
  • 5-10+ years of hands-on transaction execution experience across investment banking, venture capital, and private equity; preferably also in project finance
  • Energy and industrial infrastructure/ manufacturing industry experience required.
  • Expertise in complex financial modeling (corporate, project finance and valuation).
  • Strong transaction project management experience and at least initial team leadership experience.
  • Prolific principal author of deal marketing materials, including teasers, presentations, and information memoranda.
  • Strong relationships across capital providers in project finance, corporate, energy, and climate tech sectors are desirable.
  • Track record across the breadth of finance - corporate debt and equity; infrastructure/project finance; and tax equity.
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional teams in an entrepreneurial and startup environment, including managing the financial, legal, and commercial workstreams
  • Track record of establishing processes and systems.

Additional Qualifications Desired

  • Experience at infrastructure and private equity investors encouraged
  • Climate tech growth/ startup experience desired
  • Experience with government funding is a plus

Salary Range:  $196,000 USD - $235,000 USD

Salary Basis:  Annual

The actual salary offered will be determined within the posted range based on a candidate's experience, credentials, and expertise as they pertain to the requirements of the position.
