Who you are

We are seeking an experienced, curious and dynamic Product Designer? to join our team and play a key role in driving the development and success of our products. As a Product Designer? at Zero Homes, you will be the bridge between our stakeholders, business objectives, OPs team, customer needs, and the development team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and impactful products.

What you’ll do

  • Collaboratively with the CEO, refine product vision and own the articulation of the product strategy and goals aligned with the overall company objectives.
  • Develop and communicate a deep understanding of user needs and behavior through market research, user feedback, and data analysis.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, customers, and cross-functional teams to gather, define, and document detailed product requirements.
  • Turn those product requirements into wireframes, developing pixel-perfect designs and ensuring that the engineering team can implement your work. 
  • Create and maintain user stories, acceptance criteria, and other documentation to guide the development team in building features and enhancements.
  • Work closely with development, design, marketing, and customer support teams to foster a collaborative environment and ensure a unified approach to product development.
  • Drive successful product launches by coordinating marketing, sales, and support efforts to maximize impact and user adoption.
  • Analyze customer feedback and data to drive product improvement and growth
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements, and incorporate insights into product strategy and decision-making

Qualifications

Strong candidate will meet many, but not all, of the following skills and experience:

  • 4+ years of experience as a product owner and/or UX/UI lead with a track record of delivering successful, B2C, B2B, and/or SaaS products
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a design effort, including: customer research, wireframing, user testing, and creating pixel-perfect designs
  • Strong prototyping, graphic design, and/or illustration skills
  • Very strong project management and organizational skills with demonstrated track-record of managing against and meeting multiple deadlines
  • Have strong opinions about design, but weakly held
  • Ability to work amongst engineering teams and make their job easier, not harder.
  • Adaptable, flexible, collaborative team player that brings a positive can-do attitude
  • Experience in an early-stage startup
  • Live within 50 miles of Denver, CO or willing to relocate.

Nice to have

  • Ability to translate business goals into actionable product features and user stories.
  • Experience with data-driven decision-making and familiarity with analytics tools.
  • Industry background: residential construction, electrification, HVAC, Solar, or Energy.
  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies and experience with tools such as Jira.

Compensation

The expected compensation range for this role is between $80,000-$150,000 and meaningful equity depending on qualifications.
