We are looking for a R&D Testing Manager (m/f/d) to join our team on electrolyser and stack development and validation in Pisa, Italy. The team is considered a pillar of the technical business area and you will be an integral part of the development process facing a wide range of technical challenges to tackle. What role will you play in building a green hydrogen future? 

  • Coordinate a team of engineers and technicians with various background during the testing campaign, delivering results in scope and in time.
  • Review test plan and test reports making sure to create robust documentation upon experimental activities. 
  • Report and collaborate with the Head of R&D on the testing activities and the follow-up actions derived from those results.
  • Actively contribute to the product development with your knowledge and close sights on the functional requirements. You will also be supporting Quality and Customer support departments on internal NCs and RCAs.
  • You will continuously develop testing process and rigs in accordance with the new products developed, ensuring long-term plans on the testing facilities.
  • You will interface and communicate proficiently with other teams and departments because the R&D Testing Team is one of most interdisciplinary team in the company
  • Bring your critical solution-oriented approach to daily problems.

What do you need to help make our goals a reality

  • At least MSc in Engineering disciplines, with sufficient knowledge on chemistry and electrochemistry.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in product development, with proven industrial experience in R&D departments. Experience with electrochemical devices is considered a plus.
  • Previous leadership positions are preferred, especially in fast-paced environments
  • Hands on approach to closely oversee experiment runs in which both mechanical and electrical components are used in electrochemical systems.
  • Excellent knowledge of wide engineering principles (thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, mechanical and electrical principles) as well as industrial test rigs setup.
  • Experience with hydrogen or other flammable gas will speed-up your onboarding.
  • Being able to develop new ideas and transform them into practical and measurable deliverables.
  • Minimum software knowledge required: MS Office, Jira (opt.), Python
  • Great spoken and written communication skills, fluent English and Italian.
  • Experience in people management and able to mentor and develop team members.
