About the Venture 

70% of queer people are unsatisfied with their access to adequate healthcare. 44 million LGBTQIA+ people in Europe are more likely to get sick, yet lack access to and have bad experiences with healthcare. Discrimination paired with lack of expertise among doctors for queer health topics lead to mistrust in providers ultimately creating a vicious circle to worse medical outcomes.

We are building the first digital healthcare provider for the LGBTQIA+ community. We are a small team of entrepreneurs and medical professionals across the LGBTQIA+ spectrum as well as allies, personally driven by the mission to develop better queer healthcare with patients and the community at the centre. 

You’ll be one of the first employees that work with us to revolutionise LGBTQIA+ healthcare in Germany and help build our product from the ground up. Your ideas will shape our vision of creating a more equitable healthcare system and pave the way for many engineers working on this idea in the coming years.

About the Role 

As our Full Stack Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical direction and development of our products. Your primary focus will be on engineering tasks, with some product-related responsibilities. You will:

• Develop and maintain our MVP, iterating rapidly to achieve product-market fit
• Collaborate closely with product designers to ensure technical feasibility and the highest level of detail in execution
• Manage product analytics to ensure accurate data collection and insights for informed decision-making
• Plan sprints, assign tickets, and ensure timely delivery of features
• Integrate various systems and APIs to streamline processes and enhance functionality
• Work closely with the product team to incorporate healthtech features that improve healthcare-related services

Your contributions will directly influence the growth and success of our company, allowing us to continuously improve and innovate.

About You

You’ll be great for this role if you

• Have ∼3+ years of software/product engineering experience
• Are proficient in building progressive web/mobile applications
• Are an expert in Golang and React, experience in Kubernetes and AWS is a plus
• Are knowledgeable about CI/CD systems
• Are skilled in integrating systems, working with APIs, and managing data
• Have experience in developing applications from scratch, whether through professional or personal projects

Also,

• You are innovative, energetic, and self-driven, with excellent communication skills
• You are passionate about building products that solve real problems and improve user experiences
• You have professional proficiency in English, and proficiency in German is a plus

Even better if

• You have experience in D2C businesses or healthtech and understand the nuances of customer-centric product development
• You have worked with product analytics tools and have a knack for data-driven decision-making
