Senior Program Manager

Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic senior project manager to lead all aspects of helping Carbonomics clients generate carbon offsets on the major registries (Verra, Gold Standard, Puro, American Carbon Registry, Climate Action Reserve):

• Conduct initial feasibility assessments
• Write new methodologies and amending existing ones
• Draft Project Design Documents
• Respond to all findings from the validation and verification bodies (VVBs)
• Participate in site visits
• Review the monitoring/reporting/verification (MRV) related to our clients' projects to ensure compliance with registry guidelines
• Identify and evaluate new technologies and approaches to improve all aspects of our clients' carbon offset projects, especially MRV
• Always thinking outside-the-box about innovative ways to help our clients succeed!

Qualifications

• Passion about solving the climate crisis!
• Relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in environmental science or related discipline
• Five+ years of work experience in carbon offset project development, including PDD writing, and handling all tasks related to validation, verification and credit issuance.
• Strong knowledge of the major registries (Verra, Gold Standard, etc.) and all their processes.
• Ability to "speak methodology".  In other words, familiarity with the major carbon offset methodologies, particularly in the industrial sectors.  
• Interest in surveying the landscape for new technologies that make the MRV process and overall project execution easier.
• Did we mention passion about solving the climate crisis?!

Salary based on experience.
