Job Description

This is a unique opportunity to join the Products and Strategy team. The purpose of the Products and Strategy team is to assess our markets, be close to our customers, and use our data and products, to exceed our customers’ expectations and deliver our long-term growth targets.

We are responsible for product management, product development, third-party channel partner relationships, market development and financial exchange relationships, strategy and mergers and acquisitions. The Products and Strategy team includes around 30 people predominantly based in the UK and the US, as well as Singapore, China, Bulgaria and India.

We are seeking a Strategic Partnerships Director who will work closely with teams including Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Events, Operations and Finance. In this role you will be responsible for the planning and execution required to deliver the long-term financial targets for Fastmarkets through strategic partners including financial market data businesses, software businesses and other market intelligence businesses.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

The Strategic Partnerships Director is accountable for:

Market and industry engagement

  • Represent us as the key representative for partnerships involving the distribution of our data
  • Support the sales and events teams as an expert of our commodity pricing and analytics products, with a deep understanding of the use cases and value of our content to market participants
  • Support the leadership team on customer and market analysis.

Leading partnership initiatives

  • Lead and develop strategic partnerships aimed at driving revenue and increasing market penetration, underpinned by data-driven assessments of the commercial opportunity
  • Evaluate the market to identify potential partnerships that can support price adoption, product adoption, market penetration, and direct revenue growth
  • Conduct regional partnership analysis to identify key partners that can drive growth in specific regions. Customize partnership approaches to suit the unique requirements of each region
  • Have a deep knowledge of the competitive landscape to assess where we partner versus compete.

Manage partnership initiatives

  • Manage relationships with potential and existing customers, industry partners and other stakeholders to support the execution of our commercial strategy
  • Lead negotiations and reach agreements with partners to maximize growth opportunities. Strike a balance between cost considerations and incentivization for partners to ensure mutually beneficial partnerships
  • Develop and implement comprehensive strategies to maximize the potential of partnerships
  • Continuously assess current partnerships, whilst recommending and executing improvements to optimize their effectiveness. Identify areas for enhancement to ensure mutual benefit and growth
  • Implement robust tracking mechanisms to monitor and measure the incremental revenue generated through partnership initiatives. Provide regular reports and insights to stakeholders
  • Support go-to-market plans for partners and manage go-to-market plans for partnerships internally, working alongside the Fastmarkets teams.

People management and leadership

  • Effectively communicate and work alongside other stakeholder departments such as Products and Strategy to operationalize and implement partnerships seamlessly. Ensure alignment between partnership strategies, product development efforts, market development priorities and our commercial strategy
  • Partner with sales enablement and revenue operations teams to ensure seamless integration of partnerships into commercial functions. Provide guidance and support to maximize the impact of partnerships on revenue generation
  • Support the prioritisation of growth opportunities and work collaboratively across the matrix to deliver these
  • Support a culture that has clear expectations, targets and KPIs across the business to drive continuous improvement supporting the Fastmarkets values.
