About LeydenJar

LeydenJar is a high-tech company, developing pure silicone anodes for a lithium-ion battery that will change the world. We are proud that, here at LeydenJar, we:

  • boost Li-ion battery energy density by 70% by using 10x thinner anodes
  • improved cycle life to >450
  • achieved fast charging to 60% in under 10 min!

We are currently still in an R&D phase, but we are ready to start the actual production of anode foil. LeydenJar Plant One will open in 2026.


About the job


As QA engineer, you will be responsible for quality activities at LeydenJar, and support and lead quality related projects in the supply chain, in accordance with the customer requirements and certification. Main focus will be material quality and quality systems. 

Your primary location will be Eindhoven, but also you will be supporting Leiden location. You are willing to travel on incidental base.

You report to the QHSSE manager and have an important central role in the QHSSE team and organization. You work especially closely together with the QC team, HSSE team, Production and R&D and the Battery laboratory. In this versatile role for lots of aspects, you will have a chance to contribute to key issues of the company and to develop yourself.


You will be working on:

  • Further expansion of our Quality Management System for our product and supply chain
  • Judging measured parameters regarding SPC
  • Implementation of required quality related certifications
  • Guiding the organization in Management of Change and other QMS systems
  • Setting up and implement quality measurements and specifications
  • Preparing and managing the (additional) risk inventory and evaluation
  • Being responsible for non-conform management and auditing
  • Supporting the Quality Control team

About you:

  • You have at least 5 year experience in a similar position
  • You have at least a completed HBO education
  • You have experience in a production environment using and setting up quality systems
  • Experience with DfSS/LSS is a pre, preferably you are green or black belt
  • You have experience with and can lead problem analysis
  • You are able to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment and act with a sense of urgency
  • You show initiative on improvement projects and are able to lead such projects
  • Experience with certification projects is a pre, especially ISO9001/IATF16949
  • You communicate clearly and concisely in English, both orally and in writing
  • You have a customer focus
