We are looking for an Automation and Control Expert Engineer with a main responsibility in working on 2-stroke Automation projects.

 

The preferred location for this position is in Frauenfeld, Switzerland.

 

Your role and responsibilities 

 

As an A&C expert engineer your work will include to design, implement automation projects to uphold the highest quality assurance standards for the broad range of automation products. The tasks can also be adjusted based on your individual skills and interests. You’ll be working as a part of automation and control team with diverse expertise.

 

Your activities will include:

 

  • Define the scope and the objectives of automation projects. Specify the automation requirements.
  • Testing engine software in laboratory and on the vessels.
  • Working hand-in-hand with Engine control System software developers.
  • Responsibility to maintain various automation systems. Consequently, debugging, repairing, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis are regular tasks.
  • In addition to identifying potential problems and resolving several issues, experts in this field take part in continually improving processes.
  • Control system design with Matlab and Simulink software.
  • Report the performed activities.

 

Requirements for the position 

 

  • Master’s degree in automation, electrical engineering or related filed.
  • At least 6 years of experience in engine marine projects activities.
  • Experience in control systems engineering or related field.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Locations: Frauenfeld.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Willingness to travel (15% working time).
  • Motivated to drive the prototype code to production-level quality.

 

As an ideal candidate you might also have… 

 

  • Capable to work independently as well as in Team.
  • MATLAB / Simulink tools skills.
  • PLC programming skills.
  • German language is a plus.
