Project Quality Intern (6 month  - maternity cover), Full time

What you’ll do:

As our PQM  you will focus on improving the vehicle quality and user experience through proactive quality management, data analysis, and supplier collaboration.

Product

  • Own end-to-end reporting for the NCR system to improve product quality including the use of:
    • Non-Conformance System
    • Quality Alerts
    • Quality Breakpoints
    • Quality Concessions
  • Coordinate the various relevant stakeholders to drive on-time resolution of non-conformities both internally (NCRs) and externally (SCARs) and ensure maximum fleet availability and user/customer experience
  • Establishing processes and procedures to ensure the availability of constant, stable and conforming spare parts from suppliers
  • Ensuring blocked and quarantined vehicles are minimized through the timely containment and resolution of NCRs
  • Manage incoming issues from Operations to correctly define initial actions and/or containment. You will be the first point of contact for Operations into the relevant department/team.
  • Define Key Quality Metrics and utilize statistical analysis to present a clear picture of the different product states in the field.
  • RCA open concerns with suppliers as well as internal stakeholders and implement corrective actions
  • Travel to different markets to understand field issues and conduct/oversee quality audits and inspections of vehicles and components.
  • Systematically work towards increasing Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) for all products by understanding the root cause of product and process issues and implementing corrective and preventive actions in both products and systems
  • Own the product development framework ensuring new product development follows the APQP and PPAP process 
  • Stay up-to-date on industry standards and best practices for micro-mobility product quality.
  • Revise and approve SOPs created by VP and Central Ops team
  • Present Reworks (internal and proposed by the suppliers) to Central Ops for implementation
  • Support the creation and maintenance of department manuals / procedures / templates
  • Coordinate meetings and communication with stakeholders (Engineering teams) and customers (Local Operations) regarding NCRs to ensure clear alignment and visibility of the topics.
  • Conduct supplier audits to ensure the desired quality of product and process are delivered

 

Process 

  • Accountable to structure information for root cause analysis, utilizing professional quality tools.
  • Own the Quality Management system, coordinating and driving progress between relevant teams, as well as the continuous improvement of the quality management system
  • Ensure conformance of the ISO9001 standard through process development, implementation and continuous improvement
  • Working from the analysis above, identify (against cost-benefit) product and process improvement items & collaborate with the relevant teams to realize these.
  • Define the data to be collected by the business in order to perform analyses and identify cost-saving opportunities through reduction of workload in Ops & general process and product improvements.




What you’ll need

-Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline with 0 - 2 years of experience
-Familiarity with quality management systems (QMS) and tools such as Six Sigma, Lean methodologies, and ISO standards is a plus.
-Basic knowledge and/or experience in Project Management and the use of project management and quality tools
-Efficient user of Office tools such as Google Sheets, Docs etc. 
-Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
-A critical thinker with a problem solving mindset 
-Excellent oral and written English skills
-Strong autonomous worker, willing to learn
