POSITION PURPOSE:

The Manager of Corporate Development focuses on cultivating and maintaining donor relationships to ensure sustained engagement through dedicated stewardship efforts and personalized solicitation strategies. 


Reporting Relationships 

  • Reports to our  Director, Corporate Development


ESSENTIAL FUNCTION

Donor relationship management (70%): 

  • Manage assigned donor pool of 50-100 accounts to ensure all donors receive appropriate stewardship and recognition to ensure continued engagement 
  • Support existing donor relationships with new ideas and annual donation renewals. This will include agreement execution, CRM management, and cross-department collaboration
  • Ensure personal pipeline is current (estimated, pledged and invoiced sent donations are being tracked with appropriate close dates)
  • Take on new donor relationships when assigned by the Corporate Development Director
  • Attend and lead calls with potential new donors and present the work of the organization and donation opportunities
  • Oversee portfolio/report of ‘at risk’ donors and connect as appropriate to build relationships and partnerships, including personal LYBUNT report
  • Identify, research and reach out to prospective partners utilizing tools such as RocketReach, iWave, LinkedIn and other platforms 


Proposal Development (15%):

  • Work with the program teams and other team members to cultivate new donor relationships, create compelling proposals, and steward existing corporate partners
  • Strategize with development leadership on ways to renew or cultivate new donations and relationships 
  • Renew and upgrade new/existing donors through personalized solicitation strategies


Database Management (10%):

  • Maintain accurate donor records in Salesforce
  • Keep track of  donor interaction history to personalize communications and stewardship
  • Work with CRM team to ensure reports are being pulled to properly analyze data and inform donor fundraising strategies


Internal Meetings (5%):

  • Development/team meetings as needed 
  • Any internal calls regarding partner inquiries 
  • New process/procedure implementation calls


POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • EDUCATION: BACHELOR’S DEGREE or  acceptable combination of equivalent experience
  • RELATED EXPERIENCE: Minimum  2  years experience with a proven success record in annual fundraising, sales or other non-profit donor relations experience.
  • Experience developing donor relationships, from identification to stewardship.
  • Experience managing a pipeline of active prospects and implementing strategies for solicitation of these prospects.
  • Demonstrated experience in consistently meeting deadlines/deliverables and standards for quality work.


  • SKILLS
    • A demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders. 
    • Excellent English oral and written communication skills.  
    • Experience in direct mail is an asset. 
    • Experience using a CRM system. Knowledge of Salesforce is a plus.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

COMPENSATION:  typical starting range is $60,000 - $80,000 USD which will be based on skills and experience. Annual performance increase may be available but not guaranteed.
