Summary This position is part of the Office of Management, Department of Energy. As a Supervisory Information Technology Specialist, you will be working with various financial, business, and administrative systems and related interfaces, and supervising a division of procurement subject matter experts, information management specialists and data science professionals. Responsibilities As a Supervisory Information Technology Specialist, you will: Supervise a division of procurement subject matter experts, information management specialists and data science professionals. Work with various financial, business, and administrative systems and related interfaces. Supervise all Departmental procurement and financial assistance data Management and control programs. Prepare routine, regularly scheduled or unique reports that will go to highest levels of DOE, Congressional, Office of Management and Budget (OMB) or other Federal Government Leadership. Represent Office of Management on DOE-wide councils such as the DOE Data Governance Board to ensure compliance with DOE guidance and represent DOE on OMB and other federal councils. Lead the development of procedures and oversight of agency-wide procurement-related information management/information technology (IM/IT) system functions. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications BASIC REQUIREMENT: Your work experience must be IT related; your work experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification). Specialized experience for this position is defined as meeting 3 of 4 of the following: Participate in the planning, development, implementation, evaluation, or management of mission support programs and strategic planning. Perform or oversee special analytical and fact-gathering projects for the analysis and assessment of Systems activities. Speak on management behalf on issues and concerns within his/her area of responsibility. Leading, managing, or supervising teams responsible for the work of a team or staff of employees with professional information technology project management experience in various areas of Information Technology, cybersecurity, procurement, or financial assistance. "Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations.
