CIMMYT is seeking a proactive, with attention to the detail, energetic and customer service-oriented professional for the position of Resource Mobilization Analyst to work in CIMMYT’s Donor Relations and Fundraising Support Unit.

 

Specific duties:

 

  • Prepare comprehensive monthly pipeline reports tailored to CIMMYT and CGIAR, analyzing funding opportunities and prospects. Conduct in-depth analysis on prospective donors to support meeting preparation and decision-making processes. Develop and implement processes to enhance resource mobilization efficiency and effectiveness. Develop and maintain user-friendly dashboards for easy access to critical funding insights. Leverage technology platforms for streamlined dissemination of funder intelligence information. Regularly review and update resource mobilization-related datasets and contact lists to ensure accuracy and relevance.
  • Conduct ongoing research to identify new potential donors and funding opportunities.
  • Maintain a database of donor profiles and funding cycles for targeted outreach.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders (e.g., project leaders, program and project managers) to understand funding priorities, requirements, and to evaluate CIMMYT's eligibility for competitive funding opportunities that project leaders are pursuing.
  • Any other activity requested by the supervisor

Requirements

  • The selected candidate must have a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or International Development.
  • Proven experience in data analysis, preferably in resource mobilization or fundraising.
  • Proficiency in data management and visualization tools (Excel, Tableau)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Experience in donor research and stakeholder engagement is desirable.
  • Advanced level of English. English will be tested, and the candidate should score a minimum of C1 on CEFR.

  • The candidate must exhibit a sense of urgency and commitment to his responsibilities and deadlines.
