Overview of Role

ZwitterCo is seeking an energetic, versatile Sales Engineer to drive sales of its cutting-edge reverse osmosis membrane products into high-impact applications in industrial water and wastewater treatment and surface water purification. This role will develop customer relationships, gather market intelligence, and achieve growth targets with a fast-paced, plug & play sales mentality.

Candidates with sales or business development experience in Power, Refineries, Food & Bev, Leachate, and other industrial sectors are encouraged to apply. Experience selling equipment or for challenging applications in water treatment or purification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • End-user customer and key account management:
    •  Grow top-line revenue in line with agreed upon targets and goals
    • Maintain a robust pipeline through cold calls, inbound follow-up, and networking
    • Develop a deep understanding of customer needs and drivers
    • Care deeply about their customer’s outcomes and strives for win-win opportunities
    • Drive sales and key account management processes, accelerating both the number of successful installations in the near-term and the path to product roll-out with large, multi-site entities in the long-term
    • Seek opportunities to capitalize on and bring market knowledge back to the organization
    • Execute a sales plan aligned to the company’s strategy and priorities
    • Act as a voice of the customer throughout internal meetings
    • Maintain customer data using sales tools, such as a CRM system, lead sourcing databases, and online platforms

Qualifications

  • A university degree in an engineering or relevant scientific discipline or a university degree in a business discipline if the candidate has extensive previous industry work experience.
  • At least 10-15 years of experience in sales or business development working in industrial sectors is required. Experience with equipment for water treatment or purification is preferred.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office and leading CRM tools, like Salesforce or HubSpot
  • A valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Schedule, Travel, Compensation, and Location

This may be a remote or hybrid position and reports directly to the Sales Engineering Manager.

Candidates should expect to travel to our organization’s headquarters in Woburn, MA for training and team-building purposes.

Travel for this role is expected to be between 30% - 50%, primarily in North America.

Compensation will be commensurate with experience and include equity and benefits.
