You will work in our multidisciplinary Sustainable Energy Team, focusing on implementation and management of Sustainable Energy Projects, primarily in the area of generation planning, energy modelling, and demand forecasting and capacity building.

Project locations around the globe, services to be performed at headquarters in Bad Homburg, Germany, or in any branch office worldwide as follows: Côte d’Ivoire, Georgia, Nigeria, Romania, Serbia, U.A.E, Uganda. 

Your main tasks will be:
  • Management of project implementation processes including monitoring and budget and indicator controlling, operations and administration.
  • Support in the elaboration of technical proposals.
  • Support in ongoing projects with technical expertise.
A BACKGROUND THAT CONVINCES US
  • University degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, and/or economics, proven knowledge and experience of sustainable energy topics is an additional asset.
  • Minimum three – five years of international experience in generation planning, energy modelling and demand forecasting. Experience using energy modelling tools like Plexos, PSR, Antares, PyPSA, WASP or similar.
  • Experience in any programming language, preferably in Python
  • Experience in data analysis and statistical modelling in R is considered as an asset
  • Ideally, knowledge of one of the project cooperation approaches (Capacity Works, Logical Framework Matrix, results-based monitoring, outcome mapping, etc.)
  • Commercial awareness and good communication skills with a high degree of flexibility
  • Fluency in English is obligatory, additional French and/or Russian language skills are to be considered an added value
  • Experience in the energy sector, especially in TSO, is a valuable advantage
  • The ideal candidate is straightforward, really motivated and interested in learning more about the technical aspects of the energy sector.
