 About the role:

We are a fast-growing, mission-driven team. As a Senior Manager of Engineering, you will help us launch our 30,000 sq ft pilot facility, and guide the team to commercialization to build out large scale production plants. This role will build and lead a team of Process & Mechanical Engineers who you will coach, provide direction, and mentor. You will also work in close collaboration with members of other teams and create the tools, systems, and processes to optimize the company’s production and commercialization of alternative-protein products.

As a our Senior Manager of Engineering, you will:

  • Develop the company’s capability to develop and manufacture alternative-protein food products at scale. Commercialize the processes to pilot and commercial scale, working in close partnership with our R&D team.

  • Oversee multiple capital projects and lead all aspects of the day-to-day management of engineering projects, including budget management, equipment planning, safety, the team, and communicating every step of the way with all stakeholders.

  • Use your best judgment to negotiate contracts with stakeholders and suppliers as we continue to source and procure equipment.

You will bring:

  • Ideally have post-graduate education in an Engineering discipline - Chemical, Mechanical, etc.

  • 7+ years of previous experience in production engineering in a high-growth environment.

  • 3+ years of experience scaling products from lab to pilot.

  • 3+ years of experience in the food industry.

  • 5+ years of experience building, managing, and leading a team of Engineers and other disciplines like quality assurance and production.
