ABOUT THE ROLE


We are now looking for an Automation Electrician / Engineer with a basic understanding of RES (Solar, Wind, Storage or Hybrid power plants). We are responsible for implementing the SCADA system in new renewable power plants, such as wind or solar sites, onto our Platform. We also take care of the operational environment for the implementation process and data ingestion infrastructure.


 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Using the SCADA electrical design package and customer specifications for reference, assemble the automation panels and cabinets, as well as other sub-assemblies.
  • Perform panel wiring and system wiring, including installation of conduits and wireways.
  • Configuration of automation and data acquisition devices including PLCs, controllers, remote I/Os, network switches and sensors.
  • Using established procedures for “Power up and Test”, perform power up, electrical testing and troubleshooting of the assembled SCADA system. Repair and/or replace defective components of the system as required. Perform Factory Acceptance Tests of assembled equipment before shipment.
  • Assist in providing status of completion information to maintain project progress status.


SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS


  • Electrical or Electronic Engineer Degree (BS/ΤΕΙ/Technical School or equivalent)
  • Good knowledge of the English Language
  • Good knowledge of electrical designs, digital and analog signals and wiring
  • Knowledge of principle of operation of RES (Solar, Wind, Storage or Hybrid) plants
  • Experience with PLCs, Automation units, I/O devices, and their assemblies
  • Good understanding of SCADA applications
  • Basic knowledge of communications and Local Ethernet/IP Networks
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
