Job Summary

The Technology Services Manager will oversee the company’s technology operations, ensuring the effective and secure use of digital infrastructure across the organization. This role involves troubleshooting, budgeting, managing IT infrastructure and technology stack, overseeing third-party vendors, supporting the technology needs of all departments, and driving technological advancements that support the company’s growth initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the procurement and implementation of software licenses and tooling, including monitoring licenses, evaluating renewal needs, making recommendations on existing and future tooling, managing vendor communication, obtaining quotes, and coordinating approvals with the appropriate team members.
  • Maintain clear records for permissioning for each software/tool used.
  • Align the technology strategy with the company’s goals and support its growth. Ensure the effective use of technology to enhance business processes.
  • Manage relationships with external technology-related vendors (includes software vendors and external consultants) to keep work within scope, budget, and on-track.  Attend all meetings relating to the build-out of our finance team’s SAP system.  Clearly communicate the needs of the finance team with external parties.
  • Oversee NineDot’s relationship with its managed service provider (“MSP”) and provide recommendations to ensure technology systems' reliability, security, and scalability.
  • Develop clear and concise security policies; work with the MSP to implement where necessary.
  • Assist with technology-related action items during the onboarding and offboarding of employees, including managing the distribution of laptops and other hardware, and ensuring devices are appropriately wiped and prepared for use.
  • Develop and manage the technology budget. Monitor and control expenditures to ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts to ensure high-quality service delivery and address any ticketing issues with our vendors.  
  • Lead technology implementation projects from planning through completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the company’s requirements.
  • Stay updated on the latest technology trends and innovations to identify opportunities for leveraging new technologies to enhance the company’s operations and competitiveness.
  • Ensure all technology operations comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards by implementing best practices for technology governance and risk management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL, CISSP) are a plus.
  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in IT.
  • Experience managing IT projects from inception to completion. Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong knowledge of IT software, tooling, and system integration. Experience with cloud computing and IT project management.
  • Experience developing and managing IT budgets. Strong financial acumen and cost management skills.
  • Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, adept at diagnosing and resolving technical challenges.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience administering industry software and tools: office suites, e.g. Microsoft or Google, access control, wikis, ticketing systems, SSO, VPN services.
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing technology landscape and business environment. Proactive and innovative mindset.
  • In-depth understanding of IT compliance and regulatory requirements. Experience implementing best practices for IT governance and risk management.
  • Prior experience with ERP implementation and managing third-party helpdesks is strongly preferred.
