PURPOSE.
This position requires the person with packaging/intergater selling experience. The Technical Sales Engineer is required to establish contacts and relationships with engineering companies, along with packagers and integraters where most projects are designed and engineered. Coordination of projects between engineering companies, ackager or OEM is cirtical to this position. The goal is to position Exponential Power within the project flow and create value within the packager/OEM/Engineering targets to source Exponential Power for both products and service. We need to become the targets "Go-To" company for their DC and AC requirements as it relates to our products and services.
Areas of Responsibility
Strategically targeting the engineering companies whose focus is on industrial customers with major opportunities for expansion and retrofit design upgrades. To position Exponential Power as the expert in the field in support of these major opportunities with the intention of Exponential Power being the source for products and services for these engineering companies and end users.
Management of Packaging Groups
Continue the support of the current packager companies we currently have and develop new packagers that do not know of us. Dig deeper into existing accounts, engage and develop new accounts that have been identified as targets, find new packager targets we are not aware of. This work is to be completed by others and directed and managed by the leader.
Management of OEMs
Continue the support of the current OEM companies we currently have and develop new OEM that do not know of us. Dig deeper into existing accounts, engage and develop new accounts that have been identified as targets, find new OEM targets we are not aware of. This work is to be completed by others and directed and managed by the leader.
Coordination with other Business Development
Work with other business development personnel within our company. Provide communication and coordination between information learned by the various business development managers and apply this information to position Exponential Power as the preferred vendor for the stationary power quality solutions those customers require.
Develop and Build Support Team
Develop and build the support team to efficiently and effectively support the Exponential Power strategic direction for the success of the Director of Major Projects.
Team Participation
Marketing Participation
Scheduling and participating in the marketing functions including the scheduling and selling of Training seminars, attendance and management of exhibitions, and participation in outside events that promote Exponential Power.
Technical and Commercial Sales Support
Be able to provide technical and commercial sales support in various functions within the organization. Be able to look for new opportunities for business within the work environment and communicate those opportunities effectively to the sales teams and management.
Travel
Be able to extensively travel as required to secure business in areas outside of Houston. Overnight travel is required. Be able to track cost and support expense of job during travel and become effective in submitting documented expenses for reimbursement through the expense site.
Job Reporting
Be able to complete detailed job reports in proper English and grammar. Job reports shall be submitted within a timely manner of job completion or during milestones during the job.
Safety
Be able to work safely and effectively within customer locations. Be safety conscious during all phases of the job which includes warehouse work, travel and customer premise work. Be able to review and understand various customer safety and quality programs. Be able to qualify to work within customer plants. Completion of safety courses and other mandatory tests.
Computer Skills
Be able to work with Microsoft office and other software tools that allow the technician to be effective in work environment. Security of computer and software is required.
Communication
Be able to communicate verbally and in writing all aspect of job functions both internally and externally. Must be able to support customer request via by phone and in person.
Continuance 30/60/90 days
Face to face meetings with electrical engineering manager at the engineering companies, identify projects that they have in house, and communicate with team for items required.
Qualifications
EDUCATION
Electrical Engineering degree from accredited university,
EXPERIENCE
Five years in the stationary power quality field in sales management roles.
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE
Computer Skills, software skills: Microsoft Office Products. Product knowledge, industry standards (UL, CSA, ISO), CRM software
BUSINESS UNDERSTANDING
Exponential Power products and objectives, end use of products, Sales channels to market, Services of Exponential Power products. (There will be Training on our product offerings)
