Job Description:

The Assistant Project Manager shall be responsible for managing the team deliverables under the direction of the Project Manager and Senior Quality Program Manager. The APM’s responsibility is supporting quality management initiatives, analyzing systems, aiding in project planning, and ensuring adherence to industry standards for continuous improvement. 

Major Roles and Responsibilities:

The roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist in conducting detailed analyses of quality management systems, identifying gaps, and proposing improvement strategies.
  • Support Department leadership in finalizing quality management enhancements, contributing to the creation of comprehensive project plans.
  • Aid in the development and maintenance of Quality Management Plans, including associated tools and documents.
  • Assist in the establishment and monitoring of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), contributing to quality assessments through data analysis.
  • Participate in quality audits, prepare regular reports, and provide support in addressing corrective actions to ensure adherence to industry standards and quality guidelines.

Minimum Qualification and Experience:

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in engineering, Transportation, Planning, Business, or related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in technical writing, preferably for infrastructure planning and/or engineering projects.
  • Experience organizing and capturing technical information in document standards, rules, SOPs, and handbooks.
  • Experience working with controlled documentation.
  • Ability to extract information from key stakeholders, and to communicate the information in written form.
  • Strong skills in MS Office and experience with SharePoint Library Management.
  • Strong verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.
  • Experience working with quality management programs and plans is preferred.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt Certification (CSSGB) .
  • Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE).
  • American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification; and
  • ProCore software experience preferred.
  • Experience in Transportation, more specifically Communication and Signaling will be an added advantage.
