Contracts Specialist Roles and Responsibilities:

We are seeking a Contracts Specialist for a field assignment located at our Gonzalez, LA facility.

This position is responsible for contractor sourcing, draft review and negotiate terms and conditions for contractual agreements and perform post award contract administration activities for third party services supporting plant engineering and construction services activities on capital projects. These activities include, but are not limited to, heading weekly meetings with all stakeholders, issuing change orders and contract amendments, reviewing, and approving invoices, leading the contract budget, and ensuring contractor is aligning with all contractual obligations. This position also manages third party EPC contracts and all other types of contracts necessary on projects.

Required Skills / Abilities:

  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in a construction related function.
  • Experience with subcontract formation and administration experience at a work site dealing with change management.
  • Experience in contracts award and post-award management and contractual language.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent knowledge and proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, One Note) and collaborative tools.
  • Good Knowledge of SAP and requisition to pay processes is preferred.
  • Ability to bring teams together to achieve targets and goals.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally within Air Products.

Education and Licensing Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Business, or other technical areas.
