Senior Site Reliability Engineer (L5)

As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at Dayrize, you will be a key contributor in developing software solutions while providing technical leadership and guidance to the team. Leveraging your extensive experience, you will architect and design robust, scalable, and maintainable systems, solving complex technical problems and ensuring code quality through rigorous testing and reviews. Your role involves collaborating with stakeholders, mentoring junior engineers, and fostering a culture of continuous learning. With expertise in Google Cloud Platform and relevant tools, you will play a vital role in maintaining the smooth operation of our software 24x7 for customers worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Technical Leadership and Mentorship:
   • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, setting high standards for excellence.
   • Actively mentor others to improve their skills and contribute to a culture of continuous learning.
2. Project Delivery and Architectural Excellence:
   • Drive the successful delivery of complex projects, ensuring alignment with business requirements and adding value.
   • Architect and develop robust, scalable, and maintainable software systems, addressing technical complexities.
3. Communication and Collaboration:
   • Effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, product managers, and designers to deliver optimal solutions.

5. Project Planning and Execution:

6. Google Cloud Platform Proficiency:
   • Utilize experience with Google Cloud Platform, setting up, configuring, and maintaining cloud-native offerings.
   • Ensure smooth 24x7 operation, report on Service Levels, deploy and set up monitoring for global customers.
7. Infrastructure and Tools:
   • Apply experience with Terraform, CI/CD, Bitbucket, JIRA, OpsGenie, and other relevant tools.
   • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our infrastructure and deployment processes.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer with a focus on technical leadership and software development.
• Extensive expertise in Google Cloud Platform services, including Cloud Run, Cloud Storage, Cloud Load Balancer, Identity Management, BigQuery, and Dataflow.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, CI/CD, Bitbucket, JIRA, OpsGenie, and related tools.
• Strong software engineering skills with the ability to architect and develop robust and scalable systems.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated mentorship and guidance to junior engineers.
